1. About DUTTI’S

DUTTI’S provides retail and wholesale stationery, books, educational products, office supplies, art and craft products, lifestyle products and related items.

2. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, sizes and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However:

• Product colours may appear slightly different depending on your device or screen.
• Packaging and product designs may change from time to time.
• Product specifications may be updated by manufacturers.
• Images may be for illustration purposes where indicated.
• Availability may change without prior notice.

We reserve the right to correct errors or update product information when necessary.

3. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Adding an item to a shopping cart, submitting an enquiry, or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not necessarily guarantee that the product is available or that the order has been accepted.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we may contact you to offer an alternative, adjust the order, or provide an applicable refund.

4. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without prior notice.

The applicable price will generally be the price displayed at the time the order is confirmed, subject to obvious pricing errors or applicable taxes and charges.

Where applicable, taxes, delivery charges or other fees will be communicated to the customer before completion of the order.

5. Pricing Errors

Although we take reasonable care when entering and displaying prices, errors may occasionally occur.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to a technical, typographical or other error, DUTTI’S reserves the right to cancel the affected order and refund any payment already made.

6. Orders

An order may be placed through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, email, social media, or directly at our store, depending on the purchasing channel available.

DUTTI’S reserves the right to accept, reject, limit or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in circumstances involving:

• Product unavailability.
• Incorrect pricing or product information.
• Suspected fraudulent activity.
• Duplicate or unusually large orders.
• Payment issues.
• Delivery limitations.
• Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Order Confirmation

Once an order is received, we may contact the customer to confirm:

• Product availability.
• Quantity.
• Price.
• Delivery details.
• Payment method.
• Estimated delivery time.

An order is considered confirmed only after confirmation by DUTTI’S through an appropriate communication channel or after payment has been successfully processed, where applicable.

8. Payments

We may accept payment methods including cash, bank transfer, card payments, online payments and other payment methods made available by DUTTI’S.

For bank transfers, customers may be required to provide proof of payment.

Orders requiring advance payment may only be processed after the payment has been successfully verified.

9. Credit Accounts & B2B Customers

Credit facilities may be offered to selected business, institutional or corporate customers at the sole discretion of DUTTI’S.

Where credit terms are approved, the applicable credit period, credit limit and payment terms will be communicated separately through an approved quotation, invoice, credit agreement or other written communication.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable within the stated payment period.

DUTTI’S reserves the right to suspend further credit sales or deliveries where outstanding amounts remain unpaid.

10. Quotations

Quotations issued by DUTTI’S are subject to the validity period stated on the quotation.

Unless otherwise stated:

• A quotation does not guarantee stock availability until the order is confirmed.
• Prices may be subject to applicable taxes and delivery charges.
• Quotations may be revised if supplier prices, exchange rates, taxes, freight charges or other relevant costs change.
• Special-order products may be subject to separate terms.

A quotation becomes an order only after acceptance and confirmation by DUTTI’S.

11. Wholesale Orders

Wholesale pricing, minimum order quantities, discounts, delivery arrangements and payment terms may differ from retail transactions.

Wholesale prices and discounts are subject to individual quotations or applicable DUTTI’S pricing arrangements.

DUTTI’S reserves the right to review or change wholesale pricing based on supplier prices, quantity, market conditions and other relevant costs.

12. Book-List & Educational Orders

For school book lists and educational orders:

• Customers are responsible for providing accurate school, grade, subject and book information.
• Customers should verify book titles, editions, authors, ISBNs and quantities before confirming an order.
• Book availability may depend on publishers, distributors and suppliers.
• Certain books may be supplied on a pre-order or special-order basis.
• Specially ordered books may be subject to separate cancellation and return conditions.

DUTTI’S is not responsible for an incorrect book supplied as a result of incorrect information provided by the customer.

Where a school changes a required edition or book after an order has been confirmed, the applicable return, exchange or cancellation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

13. Delivery

Delivery availability, charges and estimated delivery times may vary depending on the customer's location, order size, product availability and delivery provider.

Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.

Delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, weather, road conditions, public holidays, supplier delays or other unforeseen circumstances.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

14. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers are encouraged to inspect their order upon delivery.

If an item is visibly damaged, incorrect or missing, please contact DUTTI’S as soon as reasonably possible and provide the relevant order details and supporting photographs where applicable.

15. Returns & Refunds

Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable Sri Lankan law.

16. Product Warranties

Where a manufacturer or supplier provides a warranty for a product, the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms will apply.

Warranty coverage may vary by product and manufacturer.

Products damaged through misuse, negligence, unauthorized modification, improper installation or normal wear and tear may not be covered by a manufacturer's warranty.

17. Promotional Offers & Discounts

Promotional offers, discounts, vouchers and special prices may be subject to specific terms and validity periods.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

• Promotions cannot be combined with other promotions.
• Promotional items are subject to availability.
• Discounts may not apply to certain brands, products or categories.
• DUTTI’S reserves the right to modify or end a promotion in accordance with its stated terms.

18. Website Use

Customers agree not to:

• Use the website for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Interfere with website security or functionality.
• Copy or reproduce website content without permission.
• Use automated systems to collect website information without authorization.
• Submit false or misleading information.

19. Intellectual Property

All content on the DUTTI’S website, including logos, trademarks, text, photographs, graphics, product descriptions and other original material, belongs to or is used by DUTTI’S or the relevant rights holder.

Such content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or commercially used without appropriate authorization.

Third-party trademarks and brand names displayed on our website remain the property of their respective owners.

20. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

DUTTI’S does not control or guarantee the availability, accuracy, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.

Use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DUTTI’S will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

This may include delays or failures caused by:

• Delivery providers.
• Suppliers or manufacturers.
• Internet or telecommunications failures.
• Payment-service interruptions.
• Natural disasters.
• Government restrictions.
• Public emergencies.
• Other unforeseen circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

22. Force Majeure

DUTTI’S will not be considered in breach of these Terms & Conditions where performance is prevented or materially delayed by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include natural disasters, fire, floods, strikes, transportation disruptions, supplier failures, government actions, power or telecommunications failures, or other events outside our reasonable control.

23. Customer Information

Customer information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By placing an order or using our services, customers acknowledge that necessary information may be processed for order fulfilment, payment, delivery, customer support, accounting, legal compliance and other legitimate business purposes.

24. Changes to These Terms

DUTTI’S may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The updated version will be published on our website with the revised “Last Updated” date.

The version applicable at the time of the relevant transaction will generally govern that transaction, subject to applicable law.

25. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be addressed in accordance with the applicable laws and legal procedures of Sri Lanka.
